In social studies 4th graders have been working in groups to research a NC Native American Tribe. They have created and gathered artifacts to represent items the Native Americans used. Students have also created another visual, such as a tri-fold board and/or a Google Slides presentation highlighting the important information about their tribe...including way of life before the European settlers came, clothing, food, location, homes, interesting facts, etc. Upon presenting to the other fourth grade classes, we will look at how their life changed after the European settlers came and how these changes later affected our state's history. This PBL incorporates Creativity, Collaboration, Communication and Critical thinking.
